Above Bergerac, Domaine l'Ancienne Cure has farmed the clay-limestone hills around Colombier for five generations, organic since 2009. Christian Roche's legacy lives on in wines that marry Sémillon's honeyed richness with the structured, food-loving character of the Southwest.

Jour de Fruit favours immediate fruit over sheer concentration, from hand-harvested, botrytis-affected Sémillon and Muscadelle. The 2023 should show a ruby-gold hue, honeyed aromatics and balanced sweetness — an easy, gourmand Monbazillac for foie gras, blue cheese or simply an aperitif.
