Languedoc Langlade Domaine Edgar Dufes Successeurs 2018
In Langlade, the easternmost and most historic Languedoc commune, vines have grown since 936 — once served to Louis XIV and Thomas Jefferson. Elisabeth Van der Bent now tends this ancient terroir with a century-old vertical press and minimal intervention.
This 2018 Langlade rouge draws on a vineyard whose winemaking history stretches back five centuries. At around seven years, expect well-integrated tannins shifting toward savoury, garrigue-inflected notes — traditionally structured Languedoc red.
