Languedoc Langlade Domaine Edgar Dufes Successeurs 2012
In Langlade, the easternmost and most historic Languedoc commune, vines have grown since 936 — once served to Louis XIV and Thomas Jefferson. Elisabeth Van der Bent now tends this ancient terroir with a century-old vertical press and minimal intervention.
The 2012 Langlade rouge continues this small estate's traditional Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre blend. Now well into its second decade, expect evolved, savoury notes of dried fruit and garrigue from low-yielding, low-intervention farming.
