Languedoc Langlade Domaine Edgar Dufes Successeurs 2010
In Langlade, the easternmost and most historic Languedoc commune, vines have grown since 936 — once served to Louis XIV and Thomas Jefferson. Elisabeth Van der Bent now tends this ancient terroir with a century-old vertical press and minimal intervention.
This 2010 Langlade blends Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre from a vineyard first recorded in 936. Now mature, expect savoury dried fruit and garrigue herbs over the appellation's traditionally structured character — vinified with a 1911 vertical press.
