Jurancon Terroirs de la Cerisaie Vendanges Tardives Clos Thou 2020
Above Jurançon, on the wild hillsides of La Chapelle de Rousse, the Lapouble-Laplace family has farmed the Clos Thou for four generations. Organic and rooted in pudding-stone soils, their Manseng wines carry Jurançon's late-harvest concentration and mountain tension.
La Cerisaie is a late-harvest Jurançon picked in the final passes, when the Foehn wind has concentrated the grapes. The 2020 should show honeyed, exotic-fruit richness balanced by acidity — a generous sweet wine for foie gras, blue cheese or fruit desserts.
