Gevrey Chambertin Domaine Castagnier 2023

In Morey-Saint-Denis, Jérôme Castagnier left a career as a military trumpeter to farm his family's small, Grand Cru-rich domaine biodynamically. From fragments of Clos de la Roche to village Chambolle, his wines favour restraint, precision and unhurried Burgundian patience.

The domaine's village Gevrey-Chambertin comes from various high-quality "lieux-dits". The 2023 should show Gevrey's typically fuller structure and darker fruit, tempered by Castagnier's gentle, biodynamically inclined winemaking.
