Vin de Pays de l'Herault Pitchot Domaine Vaisse 2022

At Aniane, Pierre Vaïsse began in 2007 with two hectares, trained by Laurent Vaillé of Grange des Pères and Frédéric Pourtalié of Montcalmès. Farming pebble and red-clay soils, he ages his reds patiently for two years, crafting wines built for the cellar rather than the aperitif.

Pitchot is one of Pierre Vaïsse's Languedoc reds, likely a lighter-framed cuvée offering more immediate drinkability than his structured, longer-aged bottlings. The 2022 should show fresh dark fruit with the pebble and red-clay imprint of his Aniane vines.
