Ghislaine et Jean-Hugues Goisot are standard-bearers of the Auxerrois — a largely forgotten corner of northern Burgundy where Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Noir flourish on Kimmeridgian soils. Pioneers of organic viticulture, their wines are precise, energetic and alive with mineral tension.
Moury is a lieu-dit of the Saint-Bris appellation — the only Sauvignon Blanc AOC in Burgundy. Goisot's 2023 is crisp, mineral and precise: grapefruit, nettle, white blossom and a lovely chalk-driven finish that places it firmly in Loire-like territory. Refreshing and distinctive.
