Pouilly Fuisse Premier Cru Aux Chailloux Domaine Cheveau 2023

In the hamlet of Pouilly, three generations of the Cheveau family have coaxed rich, mineral Chardonnay from clay-limestone and granite slopes. Their Pouilly-Fuissé range, including newly classified Premier Crus, reflects patient, parcel-by-parcel Mâconnais craftsmanship.

Aux Chailloux, recognised in the 2020 Premier Cru classification, grows on clay-limestone soils near Pouilly. The 2023 Chardonnay should show a rich, mineral-driven style with citrus and stone fruit, barrel-aged for texture — a precise expression of one of the Mâconnais's prestigious new crus.
