Xavier Weisskopf traded a career as cellar master at Château de Saint-Cosme in Gigondas for a patch of pre-war Chenin vines in Montlouis in 2005. Organic since 2008, Le Rocher des Violettes crafts crystalline, mineral whites and reds of rare purity and precision.

Les Vignes de Michel is one of Xavier Weisskopf's parcel-specific Montlouis bottlings, from pre-war Chenin vines farmed organically. Now several years old, the 2020 should show developing honeyed, mineral complexity layered over the domaine's hallmark purity and tension.
