Marcillac Cuvee Les Rougiers Domaine du Cros 2018
In the Vallon de Marcillac, the Teulier family has farmed vines since 1882, on steep red clay 'rougiers' soils reaching 65% slopes. Their wines are built exclusively from Fer Servadou — rustic, peppery reds that are the soul of this small Aveyron appellation.
Les Rougiers takes its name from the red clay soils that define the Vallon de Marcillac. Now several years old, the 2018 should show Fer Servadou's peppery profile softened into savoury, evolved notes — a structured, historically significant Aveyron red.
