Madiran Triangle Chateau du Pouey 2022

Built on a ridge above Viella, Château du Pouey has passed through four generations, with Bastien Lannusse taking the reins in 2012 at just twenty-five. Farming three distinct terroirs across Madiran and Pacherenc, he broke from the cooperative to craft fruity, silky-tannined wines with real personality.

Triangle is one of Château du Pouey's Madiran bottlings, likely referencing the estate's three-terroir layout across clay-gravel, clay-silt and pebble soils. The 2022 should show ripe dark fruit and firm Tannat structure, softened by Bastien Lannusse's careful, modern winemaking.
