IGP Pyrenees-Atlantiques Rouge Erotasuna Domaine Bordatto 2021

In the Basque hinterland near Jaxu, Pascale and Bixintxo Aphaule built a vineyard from nothing in 2001, with no inherited land or equipment. Their small organic estate pairs a single hectare of old Irouléguy Tannat with cider orchards — modest, deeply personal Basque winegrowing.

Erotasuna, an organic IGP red likely built from 100% Marselan (hybridization between Cabernet Sauvignon and Gremanche Noire), should show the rustic, structured character of this mountain terroir with dark fruit and firm tannins.
