Ghislaine et Jean-Hugues Goisot are standard-bearers of the Auxerrois — a largely forgotten corner of northern Burgundy where Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Noir flourish on Kimmeridgian soils. Pioneers of organic viticulture, their wines are precise, energetic and alive with mineral tension.

Corps de Garde is one of Goisot's more structured Côtes d'Auxerre whites. The 2022, on fossil-rich limestone, should show real density and mineral tension, best approached with a few years of patience.
