In the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Vincent Legou took over his father's organic estate in 2008, spreading eleven hectares across Beaune, Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée. His wines are honest, terroir-first Burgundies from a quietly ambitious family domaine.
En Genêt is a Beaune Premier Cru bordering Clos du Roi, its name possibly recalling a thirteenth-century landowner or the yellow-flowered broom shrub. The 2022 Pinot Noir should show intense red fruit, almond and toasted oak notes with harmonious richness and fine tannins.
