Auxey Duresses Rouge Domaine Jean-Philippe Fichet 2023

In Meursault, Jean-Philippe Fichet rebuilt an estate almost from scratch after losing his leased vines in 1991. Farming organically with meticulous, low-yield precision, his Chardonnays across Meursault, Auxey-Duresses and Monthélie rival Burgundy's most celebrated names.

This red Auxey-Duresses comes from a cooler valley behind Meursault, part of Fichet's broader holdings. The 2023 Pinot Noir should show bright red-fruit character with the freshness typical of this often-overlooked appellation.
