Domaine Michel Sarrazin et Fils
The Sarrazin brothers (Guy and Jean-Yves) are leading the family estate respectively since 1986 and 1992. At this time the vineyard covered 12 hectares which tripled to reach a total of 35 hectares today. The Sarrazin brothers value tradition in both the vineyard and winery but remain curious about modern innovation and test with fellow winemakers to learn and develop their craft.
The vines are farmed traditionally in "lutte raisonnée". The pruning and green harvesting are severe in order to manage the plant’s vigour.
The reds are 100% de-stemmed. The wines are aged for 8 to 12 months in a combination of oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. The proportion of new oak vary from 10% to 100% depending on the cuvées.
