Domaine de Mouscaillo
Domaine de Mouscaillo is a family-run estate in Roquetaillade, within the Limoux appellation, founded in 2004 by Marie-Claire and Pierre Fort, now managed by the next generation—Camille, Thomas and Frédéric. The domaine farms 7 hectares at high altitude on the foothills of the Pyrenees, a terroir marked by cool nights, marine-fossil limestone soils, and remarkable natural freshness uncommon for Languedoc wines. Guided by agroecology, they take a holistic approach to vineyard care—prioritising biodiversity, constant experimentation and environmental respect rather than relying on labels alone. The estate is HVE certified and converting to organic, with viticulture tailored each year to the complexity of nature. Their wines, primarily Chardonnay, reflect precision, tension and ageing potential, shaped by altitude, calcareous clay, and a philosophy that values balance and sustainability.
