Domaine Mas Novi
Lying in the most beautiful and exceptional terroir surrounding hills with a breathtaking view of the coast, a land once ceded by the lord of Cévennes, Mas du Novi is a wine producer from Languedoc-Roussillon that has been producing an even exceptionally made fine wines. The land with a history of wine production since the 11th century also has tales and traces that show that long before Romans used to reside and make wines there. From the first writings of the estate however, we can for sure tell the long history and how the site was part of the wine growing barns of the Abbey of Valmange, one of the most beautiful Cistercian abbeys of France and one of the oldest vineyards in Languedoc-Roussillon.
Today, the 42 ha of organically cultivated vines is one of the references of Languedoc Grès de Montpellier. Produced in high standards, Mas du Novi wines have won several gold medals in international wine competitions and thus named the best French Wine in one of them. Tremendous care given by Thierry Thomas, the man behind the wine production and his team to bring out the freshness and richness of the terroir in their wines while maintaining drinkability is what has given the Domaine the prestige it has today.
Vinified in natural manner without any added sulphites, depending on the cuvée, wines are aged from 12 to 18 months in stainless steel vats, oak barrels and demi-muids.
