Domaine Mas de Libian
Mas de Libian is a historic family estate located in Saint-Marcel d’Ardèche, on the western side of the Rhône River, at the end of the Ardèche Gorge in southern France. The estate has belonged to the Thibon family since 1670, making it a multigenerational vineyard with deep roots in the Rhône winemaking tradition. For centuries, the family has cultivated these lands with a respect for nature and heritage, creating wines that express both their soil and their history.
Their winemaking philosophy revolves around organic and biodynamic practices, certified by Demeter, ensuring respect for the environment and sustainable agriculture. The estate is distinguished by its refusal to use pesticides or weed killers. Instead, the soil is plowed by horse, maintaining natural harmony in the vineyard. Mas de Libian captures the essence of southern France through blends of Rhône grape varieties, nurtured under abundant sunshine and vinified with traditional, hands-on techniques.
