Domaine des Huards 

For seven generations since 1846, the Gendrier family has shaped Domaine des Huards into one of the Loire's most respected estates. Situated between the storied châteaux of Cheverny and Chambord, this biodynamic pioneer (certified since 1998) farms 32 hectares across Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny's distinctive clay-limestone and silica soils.

The domaine has become synonymous with Romorantin, the nearly extinct grape said to have been brought here by King Francis I in the 16th century. Their old-vine Romorantin bottlings stand as benchmarks for the variety - mineral-driven, age-worthy whites that capture Cour-Cheverny's essence. Equally compelling are their Cheverny blends: vibrant Sauvignon-Chardonnay whites and elegant Pinot Noir-Gamay reds, alongside traditional-method Crémant.

What unites all Huards wines is their crystalline purity - a result of meticulous biodynamic farming, native yeast fermentations, and patient élevage. Each bottle serves as a living map of these diverse terroirs, bearing witness to a family's enduring commitment to working in harmony with their land.
