Domaine Écotard

Clos de l’Écotard is a 15-hectare estate located in Maine-et-Loire, primarily in the commune of Courchamps. Founded by Michel Chevré, a thirdgeneration winemaker, the domaine embodies a deep connection to nature and respect for biodiversity. Since 2011, the vineyard has been cultivated organically and guided by biodynamic principles, utilizing practices like grassing, horse plowing, and soil balancing to create authentic, terroir-driven wines. Clos de l’Écotard produces wines from a diverse range of grape varieties, including Chenin, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Grolleau, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, grown on clay-limestone and sandy soils. With a commitment to sustainability and attention to detail, the estate crafts wines that reflect the essence of their environment. Each bottle represents the passion, expertise, and innovative spirit of the team, offering a true taste of harmony between nature and winemaking.
