Domaine Durieu

an Historic family estate based in Eguisheim, at the heart of Alsace. The Beyer family has cultivated vines here since 1580, and today the domaine farms around 17 hectares across nearly 80 parcels, including two Grands Crus and three Lieux-dits. Rooted mainly in limestone slopes, these vineyards form a complex mosaic of terroirs that define the estate’s identity.

Organic viticulture has been practiced since 2005, with certification obtained in 2014, and the domaine began its transition toward biodynamics in 2016. High-density plantings, meticulous manual vineyard work, and hand harvesting with strict sorting are central to the approach, encouraging deep rooting and precise mineral expression.

Inspired by biodynamic principles, the estate views the vineyard as a living ecosystem, where soil life, plants, and natural rhythms work in synergy. This philosophy allows each wine to express its geological, climatic, and cultural origin with clarity and authenticity. The resulting wines are vibrant, balanced, and deeply connected to the spirit of Eguisheim.
