Domaine Clos Troteligotte

Emmanuel Rybinski succeeded his father to Clos Troteligotte, a domaine nestled in the heart of a woodland setting between the Lot Valley and the limestone plateau (Causses) of Quercy Blanc. Created in 1987, the family vineyard is an enclosed block of 19 hectares located on the unique plateau of iron-rich limestone of Villesèque, a small village part of Cahors appellation and situated at an elevation of 1,400 feet. As a forward-thinking producer, Emmanuel's wines straddle the line between old and new Cahors with new farming techniques and varieties of grapes planted since his arrival on the family estate.

Certified as Organic in 2014 and Biodynamic in 2017, cultivation of vines since 2004 has been done in a micro-plot selection in accordance with the rich iron content in different slopes of the estate. Identifying the terroirs according to the minerals present in different parts of the soil has allowed for the creation of a unique variation of the Malbec grapes.

The wines are vinified in a natural manner without sulphite or other additives giving them a vibrant and mineral rich flavour. Depending on the cuvée, the wines are aged for 8 to 48 months in concrete tanks and / or oak barrels.
