Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet

Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stephane Bodet have been close friends for a long time. After an experience In New Zealand and Australia, Jean-Baptiste has worked with François Chidaine in Montlouis-sur-Loire. Then he invited Stephane to join him in managing the family domaine in Limeray, near Amboise. Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet is located on a hillside on the north bank of the Loire and specializes in cultivating chenin and chardonnay grapes. The winery produces wines from two main appellations: Touraine and Cremant de Loire on 55 hectares.

They put their efforts into the vineyards by working on the soil, preserving the ecosystem, and showing respect towards nature and the surroundings. In the cellars, they interfere as little as possible to allow the unique characteristics of each vintage to shine fully. The wine is typically aged for an extended period in oak barrels while being in contact with fine lees.

We also believe that wine is produced in the vineyard before being transformed into nectar.
