Domaine des Ardoisières

Founded in 1998 in the Vallée des Bauges, Domaine des Ardoisières has become a benchmark estate in Savoie under winemaker Brice Omont, who took over in 2005. Reviving historic alpine terraces at Coteau de Cevins and Saint-Pierre-de-Soucy, the domaine expanded in 2022 with the acquisition of old-vine Mondeuse plots in Arbin (formerly Domaine Louis Magnin). Today, it spans around 12 hectares.

Farmed biodynamically, the estate works with Savoie’s native varieties: Altesse, Jacquère, Roussanne (Bergeron), Mondeuse Noire, Mondeuse Blanche, Persan, Chardonnay, and Gamay. Vinifications rely on native yeasts, minimal sulfur, gentle extraction, and aging in stainless steel or large foudres.

Brice Omont’s wines are celebrated for their crystalline purity, tension, and striking mineral expression—true reflections of their steep, stony alpine terroirs.
